Though to be fair I had good reason to feel bad aside from too many work hours, no working out, no meditation and no writing. I found out the Swedish tax office refuses to recognise my millions upon millions of losses in 2018 and 2019 and not give me the 700,000 SEK rebate. In fact, they rather considerately, decided to give me a bill of 180,000 SEK for good measure. Yayyy! This was also in parallel to my ex receiving a letter that they have sent his bankruptcy case to court as they believe he has been fraudulent and may receive a prison sentence, just when we thought things couldn’t get worse. They did all of this without even bothering to communicate us, how lovely. Two business bankruptcies, loss of land, loss of home, loss of everything of material value, divorce, and imminent personal bankruptcy in the space of 36 months and… boom! Ave some of that! Your sincerely Skatterverket. We could not have possibly lost more if we tried, everything has gone, and you then get a bill of 180,000 SEK and a threat of prison – welcome to Sweden. The most controlled state-run dictatorship on the planet, that hides in the trees that is strangely labelled as socialism – one more time – fuck right off! In fact, I have no idea why Skatteverket and Kronofogden have not yet appeared in my anxiety loop dreams, rather incredible. In fact, the number of times we have reached out for help, reached out for compassion, support and there is none. Nothing, zip, zilch, nudder – nothing – the generosity of the state resides solely in having babies in a world of over population, lets promote as many babies as possible. Föräldra ledig! I jest, I am not calling for a stop on the magnificent support the state gives in art of procreation however I just feel it should be extended to a full service of professional and adequate social services that a modern westernized country should have. Even the legal system is cut off to the poor as pro bono is illegal. We must pay 30000 SEK just for in-depth consultation and first action. Right on Brother! And Sister. Power to the people. Sweden is very far from the social ideology that I understand. Another reason I write anonymously, to avoid further persecution and black marking, though I am pretty sure they could find out if I was deemed ‘enemy of the state’ and a serious risk to Swedish democracy (aka controlled state) Did you know Kronofogden has more power than the police, I kid you not.

Enough with politics as this is not meant to be a negative platform for criticism though one for documenting my experiences in the hope, I can positively make sense of everything that’s has happened and if, by chance it helps others… a small miracle.

Today is a bad day and I will try not to be so sarcastic and negative though it’s difficult when one is fighting this office for 700,000 SEK rebate in losses over three years and looking increasingly unlikely. We followed the advice of our accountant and here we are.

I find it hard to remember the last time something went in my favour. That bad. They say it comes in seven-year cycles, one can only hope.

However back to gratitude for what I have, children, cat, health, relative sanity and intelligence, nice new girlfriend, a car, my newfound quest in fitness, meditation and yoga, my writing, I have an OK quality of life, free education for the children, art, music and on and on – so much to be grateful for and must stay focused on these things. Always these things as these are the steppingstones to happiness, fulfilment and enlightenment and I must not look back. Read over again and again and again.
